François Villon (15th century French poet) according to Thanos Mikroutsikos is the Great Wanderer of Poetry, the ironic but at the same time tender, the erotic and at the same time satirical, the didactic, the man who made poetry his own life, is the one who profoundly influenced Bertolt Brecht, 450 years after his death. The new work by Thanos Mikroutsikos has nine narrators, songwriters of the younger generation and left them free to recite the words of François Villon translated by Spyros Skiadaresis, as they think. And the result was particularly charming. Also the great tenor Giannis Christopoulos put his voice at the service of the text and the melodies of Thanos Mikroutsikos, far from complacency and dogmatism.
