Alexandra Tsoukala is a greek designer. She was born in Athens in 1954, and in 1992 she created a workshop where she designs and manufactures handmade light sculptures, furniture, jewelry and casual fashion items. Her materials are iron and cloth. Her work is available at the Acropolis and Benaki Museums of Athens, at the Art Institute of Chicago, and at several other museums and shops in Greece, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and the USA. She has held three solo exhibitions and taken part in many group shows. In 2008 she received an excellence award from the Committee of German Manufacturers, at the FORM 2008 Contest. Her most recent work is the Light Installation "Blooms of Hialiah" at Miami, Florida, whose official opening will be held in late 2013.
