Christina Nakou was born in Athens in 1973. From 1987 to 1990 she attended classes in painting at the atelier of the painter Th. Stefopoulos. In 1990 she entered the Athens School of Fine Arts, from which she graduated in 1996, having attended the workshops of Chronis Botsoglou for painting and of Giannis Valavanidis and Dafni Agelidou for mosaics. In the summer of 1995 she attended the seminar «Aplications of Mosaics in Objects», at the Centro Internazionale Studi Insegnamento Mosaico (CISIM ) in Ravenna, Italy. In 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 she worked on sculpture at the workshop of Professor Theodoros Papagiannis at the Athens School of Fine Arts.


Christina Nakou has exposed her work in five personal exhibitions in Greece and abroad (among others, in April 2000 she was selected as the Greek participation in the field of painting at the 18th annual Mediterranean Cultural Festival of the Province of South France), and she has participated in many group exhibitions. One of her mosaic works is permanently exposed in the Museum of the Olive Tree in Sparta, Greece. Her work can be found in Greece and abroad. This is her first solo exhibition at Espace Périple, Brussels.
